About the Author
Bill Coste has been a head coach for the past twenty-five years. In 1998, he was named the Oregon Coach of the Year; in 1999, he was the Far West States Coach of the Year; and in 1999 he was the National High School Coach of the Year. Coste is a product of the Seattle Public School system and graduated from Western Oregon State University. He worked in the banking industry for eleven years, and taught in high school for the next twenty-five years. While teaching, he received two Teacher of the Year ‘Golden Apples.’ Coste resides in Corvallis, Oregon, with his wife, Bette Jean. He has three children, Sean, Kelly and Corina.
